11.PEDGc - recap of corner ball lesson & blogsI used the start of today's lesson to recap the last lesson in terms of what learning had occurred & creating links back to the focus of the term - factors that influence participation. The point of recapping the last lesson was to make the links through questioning that I failed to make last lesson. Alex observed my questioning and gave me some points to work on.
Questioning - key points to work on:
- Map out questions that I will ask students - more prepared, better flow, won't miss anything out
- After asking a question give students time to process & answer. If faces are still blank then try to reword the question
- If a student answers a question & I'm building on their answer, use their terminology - helps to avoid confusion. If I'm going to change the terminology ask students what another word for that it or let them know e.g. not being eliminated for the game and getting to play more means the game has become more inclusive
